Well, besides the owner and operator of My Epicurean Kitchen, and not in any particular order, I am:
• a not-so-retired marketing professional
• a former marketing agency owner
• an MBA graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, at the University of Western Ontario
• a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
• a former Epicure Selections ambassador
• a dog- and cat-mom
• a seasonal RVer, parked on the Alberta prairie about an hour east of Edmonton
• a former snowbird still in love with Palm Springs.
I conceived the idea for this shop when I saw so, much, Epicure for sale on various reselling sites, like Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Poshmark. So many former reps were trying to sell their inventory, and so many Epicure buyers were trying to declutter their cupboards, that I thought, hmm, there has to be a better way to connect Epicure Selections fans with these sellers.
And there were many buyers who were looking for their favourites that had been "vaulted" or discontinued.
I have been selling online since 2002, first on eBay and then with my first online store. I started out selling tartan fabrics and eventually sold that online venture to a Scottish imports shop that wanted an online presence. For 10 years I have sold cross stitch patterns I design on Etsy as digital downloads. And the next step was to set up an online shop for those products called What She Said Stitches.
I have combined my experience in website design, search engine optimization, social marketing and email marketing, inventory management and shipping to launch this post-retirement venture. I hope you enjoy visiting it. My goal has been to make this shop easy to navigate, and communications with me fast and responsive.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns via the Chat function or the Contact page on the shop site.
It will be my pleasure to serve you.
