Epicure was a home-grown success story started by Sylvie Rochette, who initially sold a blend of spices at a market in Central Saanich. The business grew to became a direct sales operation that eventually moved to a picturesque acreage in North Saanich. In January 2025, after 32 years of operation, the company ceased operation. Epicure products sold on My Epicurean Kitchen were purchased during the liquidation sale and from former sales representatives who maintained inventory. In August 2025, Epicure was relaunched by a group including Rochette's daughter Amelia Warren, Warren's husband Kyle Vucko, and the brothers behind Magic Scoop, Adam and Amir Assadkhan.
