Also known as Armenian Pepper,  this is a pepper that is native to Turkey and Syria. Essential in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, both to flavour dishes and to serve at the table. The pods take on a burgundy colour as they ripen, which are then semi-dried, seeded and crushed.
