A dip that tastes like someone spent forty minutes caramelizing onions in a pan.

French Onion Dip is a savoury medley of roasted onion with notes of parsley. One jar makes up to eight to ten cups of dip. Combine 3 tbsp with a cup each of mayo and sour cream or yogurt, and you have the dip that everyone wants the recipe for. Mix 1 tbsp into softened cream cheese for a spread that turns crostini into an appetizer.

But calling it a dip mix undersells it. The dry blend is a serious seasoning: add it to soups, stews, roasts, and casseroles, or use it as the base for actual French onion soup. Stir a spoonful into prepared gravy. Add it to meatloaf instead of chopping fresh onions.

There’s no sodium in it, so you’re seasoning to your own taste, and there are no preservatives or artificial colours anywhere.
